Kaveh Imandoust focuses his practice on tax planning and controversy. Mr. Imandoust has 20 years of experience in the taxation arena advising clients across a myriad of tax specialties and industries.

Having run the gamut of tax practice working in law, CPA and Fortune 500 companies Kaveh’s notable experience includes being tax director for the flagship LA office of Top 50 international firm, working for a former Vice-Chair of the Tax Section of the State Bar of California as well as a former Chair of the Federal Tax Committee of the California Society of CPAs. Kaveh Imandoust is a Sempra Energy alum of their financial leadership tax rotation program. Kaveh serves clients as outside CFO for various organizations, including both for-profit and tax-exempt.

Mr. Imandoust holds a Master of Business Taxation from the Marshall School of Business at University of Southern California, a Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and a Bachelor in Commerce degree with an emphasis in Corporate Financial Management from the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University.

Kaveh also teaches graduate level business, accounting, and tax courses as an adjunct professor, helping design courses for the veteran-founded, non-profit National University. In Kaveh’s free time he spends time with his son, watches sci-fi, practices medieval combat, and follows politics.

Sam Imandoust focuses his practice on tax controversy and tax planning. He has extensive experience representing clients in tax audits, appeals and collection matters before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), California Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department (EDD), and California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA). He also provides tax planning and tax return preparation for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.

Prior to becoming Of Counsel with RJS LAW, Mr. Imandoust represented and advised clients for over ten years regarding tax controversy, tax planning, estate planning, corporate transactions, bankruptcy and real estate law. Mr. Imandoust also serves clients as outside general counsel including a restaurant franchise with seven locations and over 600 employees.  He earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from California Western School of Law and his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

Mr. Imandoust is an adjunct professor in National University’s Master of Accountancy program and recently developed a new course titled: Legal Issues in Accounting while also teaching individual taxation and taxation of business and other entities.

Mr. Imandoust currently resides in San Diego with his wife and children.
